Hate the smell of old books? I do. It makes me sneeze non-stop! So when I heard that talcum powder does the trick, I did it to my old books. Here’s how you should do it: Sprinkle talcum powder between the pages of the book, then wrap each book in a small paper bag and store for a few months. The talc will absorb stale smells while the bag collects odor-causing moisture. When you take it out of the wrapper, brush off the powder and your favorite reads will smell like new again.

1Hi!
I have many old books in my collection.
Thank you for sharing this tips.
Just need to check if this idea can harm my antique or not before doing them.
See you around.

3Thanks for the tip. We were reading a book last night and my DD and I both smelled the same familiar smell from the library books we borrowed. My DD was so familiar with the smell but she said it doesn’t bother her but we’re the opposite. That is a great idea I can do it in our old books too.

5I’d be afraid the powder would mess up the pages somehow. Do you put it between every few pages?
