My friend Isabel, a bank manager, had little time for herself and even less time about what she ate. Two years later after the birth of her second child, she was 30 pounds heavier than her highest pregnancy weight. She often told me that she couldn’t control her eating. Her wake up call came when a client asked her when she was giving birth. Embarrassed, she joined an appetite suppression program. A couple of weeks later, she called to tell me the good news – she lost weight and still losing more. Now she’s also walking to keep the excess pounds off.
