antique-glassesGlasses should be stored in a glass cabinet because lacquer, wax or oil on wood can evaporate and create a film on glass.  Humidity may cause problems too, the white liky skin on your glasses is caused by dampness.  It wrings minerals out of glass.

Wash them by hand using a mild detergent and warm wate, rinse carefully.  Dry them thoroughly with a lint-free linen towel that hasn’t been washed in fabric softeners, it can leave grease on your antique glasses.
