When it comes to cleaning windows, I use ammonia and water.  Nothing beats this duo.  To do it, you mix one tablespoon of ammonia with one quart water in a spray bottle, spritz on the glass window, then wipe with a small towel or cloth.  If you have old newspapers around, crumple a few sheets and use it to dry the glass.  I used to see my dad do that to our windows when I was younger.  He says, there’s something in it (probably the ink) that makes the window shine.  Your hand may get smudgy afterwards but you can always wash it off.  The newspaper trick also works well with mirrors. 😀
