Do you have those metallic-looking scratches on your dinner plates? They are caused by regular use of silverwares or untensils. Another cause is when you put them altogether in the dishwasher, the untensils rub against the plates causing more scratches. I’m sure you’ve been wanting to get rid of those but you just don’t know how.
To make them disappear, apply a thick baking soda mixed with a little water over the marks, and gently rub in a circular pattern until the scratches are gone. If the paste doesn’t work, try a dab of silver polish. The next time you’re using your dishwasher, make sure you leave some extra space between plates and flatware to avoid future scratches.
