If retightening or replacing the bulb doesn’t do the trick, it could be because of a faulty socket where proper contact is not being made.  The fix? After making sure electricity if turned off, use a screwdriver to gently lift the metal tab located in the center bottom of the socket.  Then replace the bulb and turn the electricity back on. This will ensure the tab touches the bulb’s base, so electricity will flow uninterrupted.
