If your family loves French toast but stopped cooking it because of the high calories, here’s a trick to make it healthier.  Prepare as usual, but skip the skillet. Instead, place the dipped bread on a preheated baking sheet. Bake in 500°F oven 10 minutes, turning once. The batter will set as soon as it hits the pan, crisping the surface sans the added fat.
