For easier table linen laundering, just add a cup of vinegar to a washer full of cold water before tossing the load into the machine.  The kitchen staple will keep the colors from running so you don’t have to separate your red, greens and cream table linens.  Thanks to the vinegar’s acetic acid, it lowers the pH of the wash water, making it impossible for the dye to seep out of fabric fibers.  And here’s a bonus, the acidic properties of vinegar also make it a potent stain fighter, ensuring your finest linens go into the storage spot-free.
