No matter how much you try cleaning your kitchen cabinets every so often, and even storing your flour in zip lock bags, the pesky mealworms still mangae to make their way in.  Worry no more, you can ward off these pantry pests by placing a bay leaf inside each container of flour or pasta.  Taping a leaf to the shelf or to the inside of the cabinet doors is also a good idea.  These intruders despise the potent smell and taste of this herb and will stay away.  Don’t worry about the herb’s aroma, it’s not strong enough to alter the flavor of your dry goods.
