You accidentally left your cellphone on the dashboard of your car and now it’s very hot and won’t turn on.  To salvage your device, crank up your car’s aircon and put your phone directly to it.  As soon as you get home, place your cellphone in front of a fan until it no longer feels hot to the touch, then seal it in an airtight bag and stow in in your fridge (don’t put it inside the freezer) for 5 to 20 minutes before removing and trying to power it on again.  Most phones are programmed to automatically switch off when they get too hot.  But going too quickly from hot to cool may damage the device’s internal mechanism so it’s better to do it gradually to give it time to recover.
