Mineral deposits from hard water can leave your kitchen utensils looking dingy.  To remove those unsightly stains… cork to the rescue!  Here’s how to do it:  Rinse the cork with hot water to remove wine residue.  Then dip its end in 1 tablespoon olive oil and use to scrub spots.  The cork’s textured surface acts as a mild abrasive, dislodging buildup without leaving scratches on your utensils.  You can also use it to brush the stopper over the edges of knives to displace hard-to-remove food.
