We all need a bit of time to unwind, however, we don’t always want to go through the trouble of getting ready to go out. Going out is expensive and generally requires extensive planning, and really some of the most fun and relaxing times you can have are those spent in the comfort of a home. So if you and your girlfriends are wanting to have a fun night, but don’t necessarily want to go out, consider hosting a ladies’ night in with some of the following activities:

Swap Cocktail Favorites

For most of us, a ladies’ night means enjoying a few cocktails. But if you don’t want to spend the extra bucks or get dressed up to go out, you and your girlfriends can simply meet at one of your homes and have each of you bring your favorite cocktail recipes and ingredients. Everyone can then enjoy a meal or snacks and swap libations.

Find Your Future

As girls, we often fantasized about the future and where our lives would lead us to. However, just because we have kids, husbands, and mortgages now doesn’t mean we still don’t wonder what the future has in store for us. Have a bit of fun and consider having a fortune teller over to read palms or tarot cards. If you don’t have a fortune teller in your area, you can even find online fortune tellers that can provide insight and entertainment for you and your girlfriends.

Host an Old Fashioned Slumber Party

Facials, manicures, chick flicks, and fun snacks? Yes, please! If you and your girlfriends have a few hours in which you know you will have to yourself, consider hosting an old fashioned slumber party. While you don’t all necessarily need to subject yourselves to sleeping on the floor in sleeping bags, you can definitely fill a night with activities you enjoyed as younger girls. After painting nails and putting on masks, you can all then return to your respective homes to sleep in comfort in your own beds.

Having a ladies’ night doesn’t mean you need to schedule DDs, get reservations, and find a great outfit to wear. Simply staying in with your favorite friends while sending the kids and husbands elsewhere can be just as enjoyable. We all need a break and a little fun time on occasion. So if you are in need of a little fun time, consider staying in – it may be more rewarding than you ever expected.
